So, a couple of weeks ago I started a new project! Very exciting :) and this time it's...... another play. "The House of Bernarda Alba" was written by Lorca in Spain in 1936. It takes a minute and uncompromising glimpse into the lives of a family of five sisters who are ruled over by their tyrannical mother, Bernarda Alba. I want to take it into etching eventually although it's been fun turning my hand to pen and ink.

Lithography
Just a quick post today :) At the beginning of this new term I signed up for a Lithography workshop. Below is the outcome. Basically, you grind down the surface of a pretty big stone to make it nice and smooth, then you draw directly on to it with a litho crayon. It's quite an intensive process but the advantage to this process is that the end print comes out almost exactly like how you see it on the stone plate and you can get a much more varied range of marks as apposed to etching.
